Diagnostic Assessor

With recent and continued growth, we are looking to expand the wealth of knowledge that we have with highly qualified and experienced diagnostic assessment staff. The role that we are currently looking for is a Diagnostic Assessor.

Specialist Support Professional for Students with Sensory Impairment – Vision Impairment

As a qualified teacher you will be able to communicate with individuals that are visually impaired and support then during their educational journey. You will also be required to work with students on a one to one basis to provide study skills support..

Specialist Support Professional for Students with Sensory Impairment – Multi-sensory Impairment

As a qualified teacher you will be able to communicate with individuals that have multi-sensory impairment to support then to achieve their best during their educational journey. You will also be required to work with students on a one to one basis to provide study skills support.

Specialist Support Professional for Students with Sensory Impairment – Deaf Students (HI)

In your role you will provide one to one support to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Each student will require different levels and types of support, so an individual learning plan will need creating for each student that is reflective of their personal learning style and individual needs.

Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support- Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)

Your role will require you to provide specialist one to one study skills support in accordance with the students programme of study and assessment criteria. This support will be based on your understanding of the students specific learning difficulties, their disabilities and any medical or mental health conditions that they have.

Specialist one-to-one Study Skills and Strategy Support- Autism Spectrum Conditions

Your role will help to enable students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to develop skills and independent learning while they are in education. The support provided will be tailored to each student’s individual needs outlining clear timescales and objectives for achieving their goals.

Specialist Notetaker for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Includes Electronic Note Taking

In your role you will provide one to one support to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will be required to take notes electronically in lectures, seminars and tutorials. Each student will require different types of notes, so a learning plan will need creating for each student that is reflective of their personal learning style and individual needs…

Specialist Mentor – Mental Health Difficulties (MH)

Within your role you will be providing one to one support which will be specifically tailored and highly specialist. This will help students address the barriers to learning that this particular impairment can create. Each student will have different issues, but these can vary from time management, coping in stressful situations, dealing with anxiety, how to deal with concentration difficulties, prioritising workload and creating an effective work-life balance…

You will provide one to one training to disabled people and those with specific learning difficulties in assistive technology. Initially, you will need to provide a professional assessment of the student’s needs to establish their specific requirements ensuring training for the individual is appropriate to their disability and environment…

Mobility Trainer

Initially, you will need to provide a professional assessment of the student’s campus location, which will then allow you to conduct a programme of training for them. This kind of training may be required by students who have difficulty with orientation resulting from brain damage but is particularly applicable for visually impaired or blind students…

Communication Support Worker (CSW)

In your role you will provide one to one support to individuals who are deaf, disabled or hard of hearing. You will work in classes/lectures facilitating communication and access with deaf learners using a range of strategies and communication modes as appropriate (for example, notetaking, BSL/SSE, Lipspeaking and language modification)…

British Sign Language (BSL)/English Interpreter

In your role you will provide one to one support to individuals who are deaf, disabled or hard of hearing. You will work in classes/lectures/workshops and placement settings to facilitating communication and access with deaf learners using a range of strategies and communication methods, as appropriate…
